The year 2016 promises to be a year of fabulous transformations! This change is a welcome sigh of relief and will help in grounding a lot of the transformations experienced both individually and collectively.  Here’s why: Jupiter and Saturn. These very important planets’ transit into new signs, respectively, this past year.

Kicking off these transits is Jupiter, the planet of luck and fortune (I call it the “big things poppin’ planet”), who transited from Leo to Virgo on August 11, 2015. Virgo is an Earth sign, grounded, stable, detail-oriented, practical, perfectionist. The last time Jupiter visited Virgo was in 2003 and this is the first time in 12 years that such an important event has occurred in the sign of Virgo! Not to worry, every sign gets a turn, every year.

Not to be outdone in the season’s line-up of transformations, is Saturn. On September 17, 2015, Saturn, the taskmaster planet that teaches us structure, order, discipline, responsibility and hard-work, made it’s triumphant entry into Sagittarius. Sagittarius will lay the groundwork for the future by setting up structures that can stand the test of time, with the potential to last for future generations. Saturn teaches us the value of working hard for the things we desire.

When Saturn was in Scorpio (from October 2012 until December 2014), we experienced different forms of intense transformations and rebirth experiences in the Scorpio-ruled house of our charts. For some, the experience was akin to the mythical Phoenix, where we felt as though we had to rise from the ashes that used to be our lives, emerged stronger, wiser, with a deeper knowledge of self and best of all, able to build new structures from the transformations and life changing experiences of the past 2.5 years – that’s how long it takes Saturn to transit through each sign.

When Saturn entered adventurous, optimistic, broad-minded Sagittarius (in December 2014 – on Christmas Eve, to be exact,) for the first time since 1985-1988, we were glad to breathe a sigh of relief and try something new….new businesses….new hair…new makeup…new fashions….new relationships, new jobs, new locations…and so much more. We all carried the lessons learned from the previous 2.5 years into this new beginning. After all, Sagittarius loves branching out into new, uncharted territory.

Well….Not. So. Fast. On June 14, 2015 to August 2, 2015 Saturn’s retrograde back into Scorpio (think of a retrograde motion as a planet in reverse, moving backwards) felt like a teacher checking his students’ homework to ensure lessons learned were applied correctly.

Finally! On August 2, 2015, Saturn ended its retrograde in Scorpio and resumed its forward motion through the last degrees of Scorpio until it made its triumphant entry into optimistic Sagittarius on September 17, 2015, to stay there until Dec. 2017. Awesome, right?

Virgo (Aug 23-Sept 22)
Hardworking, Meticulous, Organized. Lover of all things chic and polished. Here’s a celebration of the fabulous things ahead for you.

Virgo, you have spent a lot of time behind the scenes, away from prying eyes, doing what you do best – honing your craft and working on efficient and effective strategies to accomplish your goals, while ensuring that your goals are also of service to others.

Your comfort might have been challenged, leaving you feeling drained and exhausted. Being the hardworking, meticulous Virgo, your intellectual exploits help you articulate what others are unable to.

You may have felt a push and pull effect between directing your energies into the familiar OR learning entirely new skills, a new “language” and communicating in a different format.

Finally, dear Virgo, the reward for your research and study is here. This season, of all the signs of the Zodiac, you have the very best opportunities to express your brilliant intellect! It’s time to devote attention to #1 – You! What do you need to feel content?

Virgo is not known for seeing the forest for the trees or including themselves in the big picture (Virgos want to save and rescue everyone else), however, expanding your vision to see the big picture by seeing both the forest and the trees with YOU in it is just what Jupiter (planet of luck) is asking you to do as he makes his visit to this section of your chart.

Saturn (the taskmaster planet) will continue helping you define and structure/re-structure your path to satisfaction at a deeper level that is most personal to you, as you explore what having it all means to you.

Your focus will be on security and stability. You will find yourself focused on having a solid foundation and building lasting structures which include a stable home, a business, a home-life, becoming more nurturing, maternal, getting in touch with your inner “Suzie homemaker” in a relationship.

Jupiter, giver of luck and abundance is transiting through Virgo from August 11, 2015 to September 9, 2016 i.e. 13 months! In other words, you can have a clear shot at winning. It’s manifestation time! Start working on what you want to be the greatest achievements which you will become best known for.  Here’s a quote: “When luck is on your side, it is not the time to be modest or timid. It is the time to go for the biggest success you can possibly achieve.”
