The year 2016 promises to be a year of fabulous transformations! This change is a welcome sigh of relief and will help in grounding a lot of the transformations experienced both individually and collectively. Here’s why: Jupiter and Saturn. These very important planets’ transit into new signs, respectively, this past year.
Kicking off these transits is Jupiter, the planet of luck and fortune (I call it the “big things poppin’ planet”), who transited from Leo to Virgo on August 11, 2015. Virgo is an Earth sign, grounded, stable, detail-oriented, practical, perfectionist. The last time Jupiter visited Virgo was in 2003 and this is the first time in 12 years that such an important event has occurred in the sign of Virgo! Not to worry, every sign gets a turn, every year.
Not to be outdone in the season’s line-up of transformations, is Saturn. On September 17, 2015, Saturn, the taskmaster planet that teaches us structure, order, discipline, responsibility and hard-work, made it’s triumphant entry into Sagittarius. Sagittarius will lay the groundwork for the future by setting up structures that can stand the test of time, with the potential to last for future generations. Saturn teaches us the value of working hard for the things we desire.
When Saturn was in Scorpio (from October 2012 until December 2014), we experienced different forms of intense transformations and rebirth experiences in the Scorpio-ruled house of our charts. For some, the experience was akin to the mythical Phoenix, where we felt as though we had to rise from the ashes that used to be our lives, emerged stronger, wiser, with a deeper knowledge of self and best of all, able to build new structures from the transformations and life changing experiences of the past 2.5 years – that’s how long it takes Saturn to transit through each sign.
When Saturn entered adventurous, optimistic, broad-minded Sagittarius (in December 2014 – on Christmas Eve, to be exact,) for the first time since 1985-1988, we were glad to breathe a sigh of relief and try something new….new businesses….new hair…new makeup…new fashions….new relationships, new jobs, new locations…and so much more. We all carried the lessons learned from the previous 2.5 years into this new beginning. After all, Sagittarius loves branching out into new, uncharted territory.
Well….Not. So. Fast. On June 14, 2015 to August 2, 2015 Saturn’s retrograde back into Scorpio (think of a retrograde motion as a planet in reverse, moving backwards) felt like a teacher checking his students’ homework to ensure lessons learned were applied correctly.
Finally! On August 2, 2015, Saturn ended its retrograde in Scorpio and resumed its forward motion through the last degrees of Scorpio until it made its triumphant entry intooptimistic Sagittarius on September 17, 2015, to stay there until Dec. 2017. Awesome, right?
It has to be a world in which people live rather than die a sustainable world.I didn’t want to be a fashion designer, and for a good half of my career I didn’t like it. I always wanted to do other things. It’s the attitude you bring to clothes that make the difference. Everything I do is a matter of heart, body and soul.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
Adventurous, Independent, Philosophical. Lover of all things about traveling. Here’s a celebration of the fabulous things ahead for you.
Sagittarius, you love the freedom to roam through the corners of the earth. You engage in intellectual discourse and higher learning while contemplating the deeper mysteries of life.
Some of you may have relocated or traveled to international destinations because your Sagittarius soul yearns for connections with people, countries and cultures across the globe. For you, home is wherever your soul leads you. The “Preacher” who loves opportunities to broadcast, publish and share your vast knowledge to the world, you are not one to be confined to narrow-minded points of view for you are the true philosopher and intellectual explorer of the Zodiac.
This past year, your sense of who you are, as well as your personal beliefs might have been challenged, leaving you feeling drained and exhausted.
Some of you may have felt a push and pull effect between being optimistic about the exciting opportunities available to you, while on the other hand, you felt the constraints upon your lifestyle or your freedom to carry out your plans, freedom to be yourself. Some Sagittarius received committed relationship requests or marriage proposals and balked at the thought of “having to give up their freedom.”
You have spent the past year making “grown up” realizations and decisions, haven’t you? Choosing between directing your energies into crystallizing your vision for the future, your entrepreneurial goals and relationship requirements might have felt like such a drag but you did it anyway!
Finally, dear Sagittarius, the reward for your intense soul reflections is here. You are in for the time of your life!
This season, of all the signs of the Zodiac, you have the very best opportunities for honing your skills and focusing on career goals. The Universe wants you to become very adept at this, to play it like a well-tuned instrument.
Sagittarius is not known for being status-conscious or focusing their attention on clearly defined relationships, however, getting out of your comfort zone is just what Jupiter (planet of luck) is asking you to do as he makes his visit to this section of your chart.
Saturn (the taskmaster planet) will continue helping you define and structure your path to a freedom and independence that does not necessarily exclude partnerships – (whether business or persona) and your new-found levels of responsibility to self and other (your relationship partner).
Get ready to become a master of self-mastery and how to organize your climb upwards in your career, your status and relationships.
