The year 2016 promises to be a year of fabulous transformations! This change is a welcome sigh of relief and will help in grounding a lot of the transformations experienced both individually and collectively. Here’s why: Jupiter and Saturn. These very important planets’ transit into new signs, respectively, this past year.

Kicking off these transits is Jupiter, the planet of luck and fortune (I call it the “big things poppin’ planet”), who transited from Leo to Virgo on August 11, 2015. Virgo is an Earth sign, grounded, stable, detail-oriented, practical, perfectionist. The last time Jupiter visited Virgo was in 2003 and this is the first time in 12 years that such an important event has occurred in the sign of Virgo! Not to worry, every sign gets a turn, every year.

Not to be outdone in the season’s line-up of transformations, is Saturn. On September 17, 2015, Saturn, the taskmaster planet that teaches us structure, order, discipline, responsibility and hard-work, made it’s triumphant entry into Sagittarius. Sagittarius will lay the groundwork for the future by setting up structures that can stand the test of time, with the potential to last for future generations. Saturn teaches us the value of working hard for the things we desire.

When Saturn was in Scorpio (from October 2012 until December 2014), we experienced different forms of intense transformations and rebirth experiences in the Scorpio-ruled house of our charts. For some, the experience was akin to the mythical Phoenix, where we felt as though we had to rise from the ashes that used to be our lives, emerged stronger, wiser, with a deeper knowledge of self and best of all, able to build new structures from the transformations and life changing experiences of the past 2.5 years – that’s how long it takes Saturn to transit through each sign.

When Saturn entered adventurous, optimistic, broad-minded Sagittarius (in December 2014 – on Christmas Eve, to be exact,) for the first time since 1985-1988, we were glad to breathe a sigh of relief and try something new….new businesses….new hair…new makeup…new fashions….new relationships, new jobs, new locations…and so much more. We all carried the lessons learned from the previous 2.5 years into this new beginning. After all, Sagittarius loves branching out into new, uncharted territory.

Well….Not. So. Fast. On June 14, 2015 to August 2, 2015 Saturn’s retrograde back into Scorpio (think of a retrograde motion as a planet in reverse, moving backwards) felt like a teacher checking his students’ homework to ensure lessons learned were applied correctly.

Finally! On August 2, 2015, Saturn ended its retrograde in Scorpio and resumed its forward motion through the last degrees of Scorpio until it made its triumphant entry into optimistic Sagittarius on September 17, 2015, to stay there until Dec. 2017. Awesome, right?

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Clever, Witty, Independent-Thinker. Lover of all things communications. Here’s a celebration of the fabulous things ahead for you.

Gemini, you excel at disseminating information and you do it fabulously! You love the freedom to explore the mental plane, share tons of brilliant ideas, especially in social settings. Lately, you may have been on-the-go more often than usual and had wonderful opportunities to show your creativity and communications skills to a larger audience than ever imagined. On the other hand, some of you might have felt a push and pull between soaring on your beloved mental plane OR concentrating on the mundane aspects of daily life, work, service to others or having your brilliance challenged by those who disagreed with it.

Ever resourceful Gemini, rather than give up, you open windows of opportunity, when doors close – undeterred from achieving your goals.

Finally, dear Gemini, the reward for giving convincing pitches and being on-the-go more often than usual is here! This season, of all the signs of the Zodiac, you have the very best opportunities for rest, relaxation and self-actualization.

Gemini is not known for sticking to the “boredom” of a clearly defined path or “digging deep,” however, getting out of your comfort zone is just what Jupiter (planet of luck) is asking you to do as he makes his visit to this section of your chart.

Saturn (the taskmaster planet) will continue helping you define and structure what it means to be in a committed stable partnership, your boundaries with a current partner or a new one, if unattached. Settling down and getting serious, marriage/a committed relationship will be a key issue for you this year. Get ready to become a master at self-discovery and defining your relationships to determine what truly makes you content.
